Inno/Vention '09 Student Idea Competition
Watch the top 3 winners of Polytechnic Institute of NYU’s 2008-2009 Inno/Vention student idea competition explain their winning ideas and the benefits of participating in the annual competition. Their creations include a thermoelectric alternator, a flexible magnetic bridge, a cooling system for laptops built with DNA, and an e-commerce site for dorm-room bound college students.
Inno/Vention began shortly after NYU-Poly launched its i2e (invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship) initiative in 2007 as a way to jumpstart a culture of intellectual curiosity and risk-taking. The number of entries doubled this year.
